Most writers create in solitude, but just as it takes a village to raise a child, a writer benefits from a community of writers. I offer here some resources that will help you find some online aspects of that community, and will hopefully help keep your writing vibrant. There are numerous websites that offer valuable information for writers—both novice and published—as well as inspiration, and I have provided links to some of them. As I find new sites that I find interesting, I update these links. And there are books, many, many books, that cover every possible aspect of writing—and several of these books should be on every writer’s shelf. I list here books that I find particularly helpful, and frequently add new ones with brief descriptions to help you choose the ones that most appeal to you or are most beneficial.

These prompts are also updated periodically.
Finally, I have my own blog on writing. I hope it too will be an inspiration.
