I have taught writing classes for adults since 2006, in both Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Newburyport, Massachusetts. The classes are both workshops that run eight weeks, in which students read and critique one another’s work in class; and more intensive advanced classes specifically for students writing book-length works, in which students read one another’s material outside of class and we have in-depth discussions and critiques during class. Classes are held three times a year—fall, winter, and spring—with a brief class in Newburyport in the summer.
